Comprehensive Data Integration & Reporting System

This project aimed to integrate data from multiple sources like Salesforce, NetSuite, and Google Analytics into a Snowflake data warehouse, optimize data modeling, and improve reporting processes. The system allowed the financial services company to generate financial reports faster and with greater accuracy, helping them make critical business decisions efficiently.

Challenges

The financial services company was facing difficulties in generating accurate financial reports due to data being siloed in multiple systems. Additionally, the manual processes were time-consuming, making it difficult to generate timely reports for decision-makers.

Solutions

The project integrated data from various sources, including Salesforce, NetSuite, and Google Analytics, into a Snowflake data warehouse. The team optimized data modeling using DBT to streamline data transformations, and automated data processing workflows with Argo Workflows, running on EKS infrastructure. Financial reports were then generated using Power BI, which provided faster and more accurate insights.

Data Integration

Data was ingested into Snowflake from multiple sources such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and Google Analytics using AirByte and custom-built data pipelines.

Data Modeling

We implemented multi-layered data models in Snowflake using DBT, allowing efficient transformation of raw data into structured formats that are ready for analysis.

Orchestration

Data processing workflows were automated with Argo Workflows, running on an EKS infrastructure set up through Terraform, ensuring continuous data flow and reducing manual intervention.

Visualization & Reporting

Financial reports, including SEV Breach and Representative Growth Reports, were created using Power BI, providing the company with actionable insights and improving decision-making speed by 50%.
